The Fannin County Museum of History documents the area's chronology from just prior to the Texas Revolution through to the present day. Housed in an old train depot, it has a particular emphasis on the railroad industry, though exhibits also cover the early years of the Republic of Texas, the Civil War era, the Jazz Age, and much more. The museum lies in the heart of town, where Highway 78 crosses the railroad tracks.
